The 3rd annual Orange County Science and Engineering Week, officially proclaimed by the Orange County Board of Supervisors, is set for the week of April 17 this year!

OCSEF is very excited to announce that not only will festivities be moved to the Discovery Science Center, but the activities will expand to cover all aspects of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), in light of current trends of interdisciplinary work in education and research.

Along with the traditional Elementary Science Olympiad Invitational, Junior Engineering Olympiad, and Science Bowl on Saturday, April 22, OCSEF will also host Science and Engineering Fair Exploratory Seminars for students in grades 5-7 interested in science or engineering research. Sunday, April 23, will be filled with fun activities as well - in Math and Technology. OCSEF and the World Cube Association have partnered to host an official Rubik's Cube Competition, the OCSEF Open 2017.

This special event has something for everyone - whether you are a master cuber or someone interested in watching the best cubers in California show off their skills. OCSEF will also host the first-ever OC STEM Showcase, featuring winning science fair projects and engineering projects by some of the brightest young minds in Orange County, as well as fun activities in math, coding, and business. Please join us in this exciting weekend of learning and exploration!
